I just watched this video is was very convinced. I have eaten TONS of veggies especially kale to loose weight. I got full but didnt feel satisified. Now I am semi bulking and eating 3 hard boiled eggs and tuna cans and feel satisifed for hours but no one is talking about eggs. Some even say eggs are bad. I definitely feel scammed by this veg movement. Even dated an almost sickly vegan for a bit. Body does not look happy on tofu, bread, and veg.

I think half of this is bullshit. It reminds me of the vegan industry how they would come up with extreme shows and videos about how milk comes with blood and then it's being bleached before use : ))))
Don't get me wrong, I'm in the Carnivore club and I'm also suffering from veggies - but I don't agree that the whole human race is suffering from it. I know a lot of people on different continents that are functioning perfectly fine on your standard mediterranean diet and live up to 100 years old. Their skin is glowing, their eyes are sparkly, their bodies are muscly.
I lived in Greece, Italy, Croatia and Austria, and found tons of people who don't have the same side effects of eating veggies like I do. So yeah.
This is one of those extreme videos that just tries to swirl up drama, nothing more. Same like when they interview 0.5% of women and show that they are all gold diggers and then that represents the majority of them. Just internet sensationalism at its best.

Yeah i agree with you, i am scientific-neutral in judging things and i don't follow any specific ideology like a religion, i don't follow the carnivore diet like a dogma, i am just trying it to see how my body feels, but you are right in many other countries people eat high carb diets and they are not very fat and unhealthy

Being thin doesn't mean being healthy. They could have shit bone density, terrible sleep, tremors, anxiety, bad digestion/poop, etc. There's a lot about this diet you cannot just look at.

Come on, less than 0.01% people in this world eat our diet, you can't say that everyone else is having shit bone density, terrible sleep, tremors, anxiety, bad digestion/poop. It just doesn't make sense, especially after what I saw in my travels.
I was hanging out with monks that have been eating veggies and eggs their whole life, and their lifestyle contributed to them reaching crazy ages, and they all look and move like they are still in their teens, with little to no medical intervention.
It just doesn't make sense and if you're thinking that we are right, while everyone else isn't, is a bit delusional.

That's why i don't follow any influencers in Youtube preaching their way of eating as an absolute truth no questions asked. I have noticed that most of the Youtube talking heads preachers of diet systems are all wrong, including Paul Saladino, Dr. Eric Berg, Jason Fung, Dr. Jockers, Shawn Baker, Stephany Keto Person, they are all wrong and their problem is that they try to preach to their own Youtube channel members the way that they should eat to lose weight like the most correct way and all other types of eating are wrong. But the truth is that there are no absolute truths in this world, people do not have a monopoly and ownership of truths. Every thing that we hear and read are all opinions and truths, not facts, because facts do not exist. So we really don't know if there are aliens on the Moon or not just because NASA claims that there are no aliens there. That's the way we should be in the world of diets, we shouldn't follow any diet like a religion, but the right way to follow things even political systems is with a skepetical agnostic grain of salt !!
Something has to give !!

You are correct, the ancient roman soldiers ate a diet very high in carbohydrates, very high in wheat flour, in bread and very low in protein (according to a book by Indro Montanelli about the ancient romans) and they had a lot of energies they had to walk and exercise like 6 hours a day

Must not read many medical journals. Disease is rampant worldwide. Hip fractures called the widowmakers exist. Heart disease is worldwide. Cancer. Dementia. Stroke.
These monks aren't looking like Dr. Chaffee. They look like the old airbenders. If that's your picture of health, then more power to you, I guess.

If a person is happy, feels great and lives a long life - why would they need to change their diet? Just because you have an opinion? Disease is rampant worldwide... by worldwide you mean US? Because that's not worldwide. Dalmatian coast, Italian coast, Japan and many more countries have extremely healthy ways of eating with long lives behind them, and they rarely touch beef.
Medical journals? I've been reading many of them in the past two year of my carnivore journey, and what I found out is that you just can't take information that is based on a group, you have to go granular and do an individual approach. Your Dr. Chaffee, which everyone loves to quote and mention several time that he's a Doctor, shouldn't be your own source of information - if you're interested in researching this, go and check it yourself. I'm not saying that he isn't good, I've learned a lot from it, but don't be an extremist who makes a god out of someone and follows blindly.
If you think I'm bullshitting, take one example and research it properly, like consuming raw milk. For every 100 medical journals saying that is bad, you'll find another 100 medical journals saying that it's good - I know, I researched it. Then I went and tried it myself, and found out that it's actually not good for me, but my friend whos also carny? A blessing from the gods (and he's still on it).
With this approach you're definitely not changing my mind, you're just showing me that you're an extremist.
I'm seeing people like you in every WOE though.
I was vegan for 3 years, extremist vegans are the worst.
Now I have been carnivour for 2 years and, again, extremist carnivores are the worst - which is why I left the two main subreddits and joined this one.
If you're up for a healthy discussed, we can have it, but measuring dicks (in a figurative way) and downvoting each other isn't productive and doesn't help anyone.

Agreed. Sensational nonsense, about 50%. Great production values, which would convince a certain kind of person.
Lots of traditional diets have fermented vegetables. I grow my own in summer (and I'd love if animals ignored them because they were "poison"; I'd harvest far more, but there are six animals around me that fight me for them). Fresh veg, home grown and picked the same day you eat them, are not bitter. Cook veg, and you can absorb the nutrients better and destroy many of the toxins. The entire phenomenon of ripeness is to get animals to eat them, because seeds germinate better if they go through the digestive system of a bird or mammal and get pooped out. Both digestive acids and the poop is what make the whole seed system work.
If you tolerate veg, and you don't eat junk food, and you don't have something like Crohn's or MS or severe depression, and you enjoy them? I'm not against you. I'd recommend everybody just gets rid of sugar and flour and seed oils. Otherwise, there are many diets that can promote health for most people, including ones with vegetables.
I love carnivore, but this is full of b.s.

That's not true in my experience, at least for Greece. They eat a lot of meat, but even more white bread and a lot of vegetables with their food.
They have bad jaws and facial structure (like almost all civilized humans), a lot of obesity among older people, etc etc. It's the same everywhere. It's not a natural law that humans should start swelling up after they turn 40 looking fat and inflamed, but that's what happens on such a diet.
Vegetables can be bad without causing acute problems like really bad IBS or something like that. It's bad enough if they damage the body over time and the symptoms start showing up later in life.
That said, I'm sure you are right about the video being sensationalist, and I have zero interest in watching it :)
